COVID-19 Update - Temporary Closure of Venues

In light of recent Government announcements to avoid non-essential contact Lakeland Arts has made the difficult decision to close our venues later this week.

Windermere Jetty Museum of Boats, Steam and Stories and Blackwell, The Arts & Crafts House will be closed to the public from Thursday 19th March 2020 until further notice.

The wellbeing of our people, visitors and organisation is of utmost importance to us and as such we are making this decision in line with Public Health advice to implement social distancing across the UK.

We will be continuing to look after our staff, our collections and our properties and look forward to reopening as soon as it is safe to do so in accordance with the latest Government advice.

Lakeland Arts believes in inspiring all ages to explore and enjoy arts, heritage and the outstanding places we care for and in the benefits arts and culture brings to society as a whole. We are disappointed not to be able to celebrate Windermere Jetty’s first birthday this weekend but we are planning to run other digital activities for you to engage with whilst you are unable to visit us in person.

During this time, Lakeland Arts will continue to monitor the situation and assess the need for continued closure – please bear with us during this period of disruption. For the most current information please visit any of our websites and keep an eye on our social media channels.

Should you have any questions, feel free to email us at: info@lakelandarts.org.uk

Our team will make every effort to respond to enquiries in a timely fashion. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

Thank you for being part of the Lakeland Arts community, we look forward to welcoming you back to visit soon.
