Cumbria Museum Consortium
The Cumbria Museum Consortium is a partnership of three Cumbrian museums, Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery Trust in Carlisle, the Wordsworth Trust in Grasmere and Lakeland Arts. The Consortium is a Major Partner Museum of Arts Council England.
Cumbria Museum Consortium’s mission is to deliver outstanding museums in the North of England. The Consortium will work collaboratively to engage more people in culture, using our world class collections to deliver internationally ambitious programmes. We will raise standards, strengthen resilience and enhance sustainability. We will ensure that there is greater awareness and recognition of museums and the significant contribution they make to the economic and social development of the region.
